Privacy Policy
Last updated 24 October 2026 (version privacy-v2026-10-24).
This policy explains how Ticket House ("we", "us") handles personal data when you use tickethouse.net, book with us or contact us. Ticket House is based in Sharjah, UAE (contact details at the end of this page) and is responsible for your data as the controller.
What we collect
When you book: your name, email address, phone number, billing details and the names of attendees where an event requires them. When you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp: the details you share with us. When you browse: basic technical data such as your device, browser and pages visited, and a basket stored in your own browser (local storage). With your consent, which link or campaign brought you to the site (see below). Our team also receives an anonymous summary of visits (country and city from your connection, pages and events viewed, searches made on our site, time on site, device type and the referring site or campaign) to help us improve the site and the events we list: it contains no IP address, name or contact details, uses only a random ID kept in your browser tab's session storage (cleared when you close the tab), and is switched off if you choose "Reject all" in Cookie settings.
We also keep anonymous daily totals of page views, searches and clicks (such as basket adds and help-bubble opens), with the visitor's country only. These totals use no cookies or identifiers and cannot be linked to you.
How we use it
To process and confirm your order, arrange delivery of tickets or hospitality, contact you about your booking (including kick-off changes), handle refunds and queries, prevent fraud and meet our legal and accounting obligations. We do not sell your personal data and we do not send marketing unless you ask us to (for example by ticking "Send me offers and reminders" at the basket).
Our legal bases
- Contract: to take, confirm, fulfil, change and refund your order or booking, and to answer an enquiry you send us.
- Legal obligation: to keep order, payment and invoice records for tax and accounting, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities.
- Legitimate interests: to prevent fraud and keep the site and payments secure; to follow up once about an order you started but did not finish at the basket; to understand how the site is used through the anonymous visit summaries and totals described above; and to deal with legal claims. You can object to any of these (see Your rights).
- Consent: for marketing emails and messages (the "Send me offers and reminders" box), and for non-essential cookies and similar technologies (analytics and source tracking, Marketing, the reviews widget and translation). You can withdraw consent at any time.
Your details at the basket
Before you go to payment we ask for your email address, and optionally your name and phone number. We use them to process and confirm your order and, if you don't finish checking out, to follow up with you about that order only. We send offers and reminders (marketing) only if you tick "Send me offers and reminders", and you can opt out at any time by replying to any email or writing to office@tickethouse.net. We record whether you ticked the box, when, and which version of this policy was shown.
Enquiries
If you send us an enquiry through the form on our contact page, we use the details you give (name, email and/or phone, the event, dates, number of guests, budget and your message) only to answer your enquiry and for our sales team's follow-up about it. Enquiries are stored securely and are not used for marketing lists.
How you found us (source tracking)
If you accept analytics cookies, we record which link or campaign first brought you to the site (the utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and utm_content tags in the link, the Facebook click id (fbclid) if you came from a Facebook or Instagram ad, the page you landed on, the website that referred you and when). We keep this in your browser for 30 days and attach it to an enquiry or booking you make, so we can measure which marketing works. If you choose "Reject all" (necessary only), nothing is stored: only the utm and src tags in the address of the page you are on (never the Facebook click id) are passed along with an enquiry or checkout started on that page. When you tap a WhatsApp button, we pre-fill a short code in the message (for example "(WEB)") and count the click anonymously (page and code only, no personal data).
Cookies and similar storage
Necessary (always on): your basket, chosen currency and your cookie choice are kept in your browser's local storage so the site works; Stripe sets its own necessary cookies on its checkout page. Analytics & source tracking (only with your consent): the first-visit source described above (local storage, 30 days). We do not currently use Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service; if we add one, it will only run after you accept. Marketing (only with your consent): lets advertising platforms measure our ads. We use the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Facebook and Instagram): if you allow Marketing, your browser loads Meta's script from connect.facebook.net, which tells Meta which pages you view and when you add to the basket, start checkout, make a booking or contact us (event, amount and an order reference only, never your name, email or phone), so we can see which of our ads work. Meta receives your IP address and browser details and may set cookies (_fbp, _fbc, up to 90 days) under Meta's privacy policy. If you don't allow Marketing, nothing is loaded from Meta. If you withdraw it, we stop sending anything to Meta and delete those cookies. Reviews widget (only with your consent): the "Review us on Trustpilot" box in our footer and on the booking confirmation page is provided by Trustpilot A/S (Denmark). If you allow it, your browser loads Trustpilot's script and widget from widget.trustpilot.com, which receives your IP address and browser details and may set its own cookies under Trustpilot's privacy policy. If you don't, we show a plain link to Trustpilot instead and nothing is loaded from Trustpilot unless you click it. Translation (only if you pick a language): the language menu at the top right of every page uses Google's website translator. Nothing is loaded from Google until you choose a language other than English; then your browser loads Google's translation script from translate.google.com and sends the page text to Google to translate it, and Google may set its own cookies under Google's privacy policy. To remember your choice we set a functional cookie, googtrans (up to 12 months), and keep th_lang in local storage; choosing English again deletes the cookie and shows the original page. Prices, form fields and booking details are excluded from translation and are never changed.
When you first visit we ask you to choose Accept all, Reject all or Settings. Your choice is remembered for up to 13 months, and you can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent we delete the stored source data.
Payments
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's secure checkout and are never stored by us. Your card is authorised at checkout and only charged once your booking is confirmed. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to the data it processes. We accept Visa and Mastercard, including through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Messaging
If you contact us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's terms and privacy policy. Our team uses secure internal messaging (including Telegram) to process orders; order details shared internally are limited to what is needed to fulfil your booking (for example your name, order reference, event and number of tickets); your email address and phone number are kept in our payment and sales records rather than posted in internal chats.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share only what each recipient needs:
- Payment processing: Stripe, which handles card payments and fraud checks.
- Website hosting: Vercel, which hosts this site and processes the technical data needed to serve it.
- Internal staff messaging: Telegram, which our team uses to process orders and enquiries (see Messaging).
- Email: our email provider, which delivers and stores the emails we send and receive.
- Reviews: Trustpilot, only through the reviews widget described under Cookies and similar storage, with your consent. We do not send them your order or contact details.
- Advertising measurement: Meta, only if you allow Marketing cookies, as described under Cookies and similar storage (never your name, email or phone).
- Translation: Google, only if you choose a language other than English in the language menu.
- Ticket suppliers and event organisers: they receive only the attendee names needed to issue your tickets or hospitality, never your payment details.
- Resale marketplaces: if you buy our tickets through a resale marketplace, that marketplace shares with us only what is needed to deliver your tickets, and its own privacy policy applies to what it collects.
- Advisers and authorities: professional advisers, and courts, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.
Meta Pixel (joint controllers)
Only if you allow Marketing cookies, we and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd are joint controllers for collecting the ad measurement data described under Cookies and similar storage and sending it to Meta, under Meta's Controller Addendum. Meta is solely responsible for what it does with that data afterwards, under Meta's privacy policy. You can exercise your rights about this with us or with Meta.
International transfers
We operate from the UAE, so your data is handled in the UAE. Our service providers (including Stripe, Vercel, Meta, Google and Telegram) are based in or process data in the United States, the UK, the EU/EEA and other countries. Where UK or EU data protection law applies to a transfer, we rely on an adequacy decision where one exists (for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension for certified providers), or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses together with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as offered in our providers' data processing terms. You can ask us for more information about these safeguards.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and unfinished checkouts (basket contact details for a checkout you did not complete): 180 days, then deleted.
- Order and payment records: 6 years from the order, for tax and accounting, then deleted.
- Marketing preferences: until you unsubscribe, or after 2 years with no orders or replies from you, whichever comes first.
- Cookie choices: stored in your browser for up to 13 months, after which we ask again.
- Source tracking: 30 days in your browser (see How you found us). Anonymous daily totals contain no personal data.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under UK and EU data protection law), you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy; rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data; erasure of your data; restriction of how we use it; data portability (to receive data you gave us in a machine-readable format, or have it sent to another company); object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time; and to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything we did before you withdrew it. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
To use any of these rights, email office@tickethouse.net. We reply within one month (this can be extended by up to two more months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you why). We may need to confirm your identity first. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU/EEA, the supervisory authority in the country where you live or work, or where the issue happened.
Children
Our services are not for under-18s to buy: you must be 18 or over to place an order. An adult booker may give us the names of attendees under 18 (for example a child going to an event with them); we use those names only to issue the tickets or hospitality and keep them with the booking.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date and version at the top of this page. We record which version was shown when you place an order.
