Milan derby weekend: San Siro, AC Milan and Inter

AC Milan and Inter share San Siro, so the Derby della Madonnina is a home match for both clubs and one of the best-known fixtures in Italian football. Between derbies, both clubs play their Serie A and European home matches there too.

Getting to Milan from our 10 markets

Non-stop routes as listed on Wikipedia’s airport pages (Milan Malpensa) on 18 October 2026; seasonal-only routes are left out. Routes and schedules change, so check with the airline before you book.

From Malpensa, the Malpensa Express train runs to Milano Cadorna and Milano Centrale. Linate, closer to the city, has mainly European flights and is on Metro line M4.

Getting to the stadium

San Siro: San Siro Stadio, the terminus of Metro line M5, is right in front of the stadium and tram 16 also ends outside. Lotto, on lines M1 and M5, is about a 15-minute walk. Milan Linate is the closest airport to the city centre; Malpensa and Bergamo handle many international and low-cost flights.
